Abstract

Quality of life is subjective feelings experienced by individuals. Factors that affect quality of life include: age, education, marital status, familiy and financial. Elderly is the last phase in human life characterized by a decrease in physical, social, and psychological aspects. A person’s mental, social functioning and psychological also health will decreased during the late adulthood phase. People will assume that they have high life satisfaction when they still did the daily activity that they used to do. The purpose of the study was to describe and find out how the leve; of quality of life and satisfaction of healthy elderly lives in puskesmas Kartasura. This research is quantitative research, using simple descriptive. Samples taken with a total of 96 respondents using the Simple random sampling technique in 9 elderly Posyandu in puskesmas Kartasura. The instrument of this study was to use the OPQOL-BRIEF life quality questionnaire with 13 questions and the SWLS life and satisfaction questionnaire with 5 questions. Results: A description of the level of quality of life and satisfaction of healthy elderly lives at the puskesmas Kartasura based on univariate analysis which is for the quality of life categorized quite well with frequency of 69 respondents (71,1%) and for life satisfaction categorized as satisfaction with frequency of 71 responden (73,2%). Conclusion: After doing the research, it can be concluded that the quality of life of the elderly in puskesmas Kartasura is good enough and for the life satisfaction of the elderly in puskesmas Kartasura the results are satisfied.
