Abstract
The purpose of this study 1) to identify the types of student learning difficulties 2) to find out the factors that cause students learning difficulties 3) to find out the teacher's strategies to overcome students learning difficulties. This study uses a qualitative case study design. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, documentation. Data analysis techniques using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The research subjects of 5 IVA graders had difficulty learning. The results of the study: 1) the type of learning difficulties of students in integrated thematic learning in Joglo State Elementary School No. 76 Surakarta is suspected of experiencing slow learners, learning disabilities, mental retardation, and Autism Syndrome. 2) Factors that cause students learning difficulties in integrated thematic learning due to internal factors and external factors. 3) The strategy used by the teacher to overcome 5 students having learning difficulties in integrated thematic learning includes forming heterogeneous learning groups, giving more attention and special guidance, communicating intensely to parents about student learning progress. the conclusion of research on students' learning difficulties can be helped by integrated thematic learning and teacher handling according to the classification of learning difficulties.
