Abstract

This study aims to describe efforts to instill the character of hard work and responsibility in scouting activities at SMAN 1 Wirosari, Wirosari sub-district, Grobogan district. This type of research is in the form of descriptive qualitative. Data collection used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The object of this research is the inculcation of character of hard work and responsibility in scouting activities at SMAN 1 Wirosari, Wirosari sub-district, Grobogan district. Data validity is done by triangulating data sources and technical triangulation. Data analysis was performed by applying an interactive analysis model. The results of this study 1) through scouting activities, inculcated about the character of hard work and responsibility such as discipline, having a sense of responsibility, when unable to come or be present late in permission first, continue to practice with enthusiasm, have high motivation, and never give up; 2) Constraints from inculcation of character of hard work and responsibility that is the behavior of students often lazy and underestimate the activities of scouting, often easily give up when facing a problem, it makes the concentration of students reduced so that they are not excited, and individual factors and relationships also 2 greatly affect individuals. The solution is to change the mindset of children and provide direction and motivation so that they continue to try their best when participating in scouting activities.
