Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of Sales growth, profitability, tobin’s q, age, size, and leverage on Working Capital Requirements in public companies lised on the IDX in 2018 with its measurement variabels: Sales growth, ROA, tobin’s q, age, size, DAR and working capital requirements (WCR). The researcher hopes that the result of this study can be used by investors as consideration before investing. In addition, this research is expected to be used as a material consideration for companies in evaluating the company’s working capital needs. This result use data derived from secondary data in the form of financial statement on publik companies listed on the IDX in 2018. The populaton in this result was 627 public companies listed on the IDX, while the result sample of 172 companies that provided financial report data with complete in 2018 and positive data on the financial report in 2018 with a sampling method in the form of purpossive sampling. The result of the effect of sales growth, profitability, tobin’s q, age, size and leverage on working capital requirements, partially for sales growth have a positive and significant effect on working capital requirements in public companies listed on the Stock Exchange (IDX). Profitability partially does not affect the working capital requirements of public companies listed on the IDX. Tobin’s Q has a positive and significant effect on the working capital requirements of public companies listed on the IDX. Partially, age does not affect the working capital requirements of public companies listed on the IDX. Size partially has a positive and significant effect on the Working Capital Requirements in public companies lidted on the IDX. Partially, leverage has a positive and significant effect on the working capital requirements of public companies listed on the IDX. Sales growth, profitability, tobin’s q, age, size, and leverage simultaneously influence the working capital requirements of public companies lidted on the Stock Exchange (IDX).
