Abstract

Arm Cylinder is one of the important components in a Front Attachment of Excavator. Hose components are combined with the hydraulic oil flow from the main pump to the Arm cylinder that function as Excavator Arm shaking. If Cylinder Arm does not work in properly way there will be a lot of problems arise and damage to the inner parts. The study method are the collecting data from many literatures, the observation of Cylinder Arm demages, the experienced mechanics and foreman. It could help investigate the problems. There are many operational problems that led to Arm Cylinder damage. The damage problems can be minimized by applying proper care of the Cylinder or Rod like cleaning reassembling, and more importantly, maintain the cleanliness of hydraulic oil and all the props. Also the work area should be clean. The study was conducted at PT. Sumber Rejeki Transjaya. From the research and calculations that are tailored to the analysis and discussion of technical data occurs deflection L / 2 = 0.944 mm and L / 4 = 0.579 mm. Due to the provision of load beyond the standard manufacturer or dealer. For the system and hydraulic component in good condition. Then do timely maintenance procedures properly. But it is also a tool used according to the actual function.
