Abstract

This research aims to : (1) describe the building structure of short story collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari. (2) describe the social aspects contained in short story collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari. (3) describe the implementation of research results as literature teaching materials in high school. This type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The strategy used in this research is embedded case study research. The object in this study is the social aspect contained in the collection of short stories entitled short story collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari. The data used in this study are words, sentences and conversations that indicate a social aspect in the short story “Filosofi Kopi”, “Mencari Herman” dan “Sikat Gigi” karya Dewi Lestari. The data source used in this study is short story collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari. This book consists of eighteen short stories, 139 pages thick. This study uses data triangulation and theory triangulation techniques for the validity of the data. Data collection in this study used interview, literature, listening, and note taking techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study is dialectical data analysis technique. The results of this study include: (1) the building structure contained in the short story collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari consists of facts, stories and themes. Story facts consisting of characters (characters), plots and settings. Characters (characterizations contained in the short story collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari consist of the main characters and tamban characters. Plots in the Short Story Collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari include forward, backward or flash back grooves, and mixed grooves. Short story collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari consists of setting place and time setting Theme contained in short story collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari about life and love (2) Social aspects contained in the short story collection Filosofi Kopi by Dewi Lestari including cultural aspects, social environment and economic aspects (3) The implementation of this teaching material is in accordance with the students of class XI High School which is based on the curriculum k13 in KD 3.9, which is analyzing the elements of building a short story in a short story collection book. also refers to the theory put forward by B. Rahmanto about aspects that need to be considered d natural selection of literary teaching materials namely aspects of language, aspects of psychology and aspects of cultural background.
