Abstract

This research is conducted due to the first observation towards students class VII.5 SMP Negeri 3 Surakarta. There is problem in students class VII.5 wrriting ability in SMP Negeri 3 Surakarta. The purpose of this study to investigate the implementation of authentic assessment and implementation, analyze and find solutions to implementation constraints authentic assessment. Students have lack of motivation in writing an announcement. This situation is supported by their mark in writing. It is on the scale of not complete. The subject of the research is teacher and students of class VII.5 SMP Negeri 3 Surakarta. There are 32 students. This search is aimed at describing students ability in writing an announcement at class VII SMP Negeri 3 Surakarta year 2018/2019. The researcher chooses this research because the students writing ability is still low and need to be fixed. This research is expected to give a motivation so that students will have a skill in writing an announcement. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in Indonesian. The increase in learning outcomes can be seen from the acquisition of student values in Indonesian language learning that increases. Data analysis can be obtained four aspects, namely 1. Effectiveness of sentences 2. Spelling in writing announcements 3. Punctuation used when writing announcements 4. Systematics of writing announcements.
