Indah Warsiti/A610140041. DEVELOPING ENRICHMENT BOOK INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA OF EARTHQUAKE DISASTER CLASS VIII STUDENTS OF SMP NEGERI 2 COLOMADU, KARANGANYAR DISTRICT, CENTRAL JAVA PROVINCE. Script, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. August, 2019. One component of education that is able to improve learning is learning media and one of them is enrichment books. The purpose of this study was (1) to determine the feasibility of learning media for earthquake disaster enrichment material books and (2) to find out the increase in learning outcomes of Grade VIII students by using earthquake disaster enrichment material enrichment books. This study used research and development techniques with Sugiyono's development model. The study design used One Group Pretest Postest with 64 respondents in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Colomadu which were the control class and the experimental class. The control class was class VIII C with 32 students and the experimental class was class VIII H with 32 students. Data collection methods used was observation, questionnaire, test and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study was the paired sample T-test. The results of the study were: (1) earthquake alert’s enrichment book with a size of 21 cm x 29.7 cm with a product worth of 77.78 material experts and 84.25 design experts included in the "Good" category with the product criteria "No Need for revision" and proper to use. While the results of the evaluation carried out by students had a worthiness of 4.4 and of the teacher of 4 with an average of the second of 4.2 which falls into the "Good" category. (2) Improvement of student learning outcomes can be seen from the average results pretest mean of 67 increased in the average posttest result of 85. This result was also supported by the analysis of the T test (T-test) of pretest and posttest data which shows a significant value of 0,000 <0.05 then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted which means there was differences in student learning outcomes after using media learning tools for earthquake disaster material enrichment books that do not use media learning materials for earthquake disaster enrichment books.
