Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1. Teacher professionalism in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. 2. Supporting factors for the success of teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. 3. Efforts made in improving teacher professionalism in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at SD Negeri Srimulyo 4. This study uses qualitative research with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique of checking the validity of the data uses triangulation techniques and source triangulation. Data were analyzed through steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: 1. Professionalism of teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at SD Negeri Srimulyo 4, namely preparing lesson plans and implementing learning. 2. Teacher success factors in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at SD Negeri Srimulyo 4, namely a) Appropriate competence of educators and education personnel, b) Availability of books as teaching materials and learning resources, c) The role of government in teacher professionalism, and d) Strengthening school management. 3. Efforts are made in improving teacher professionalism, namely the teacher has a minimum academic qualification of S1, certified teacher, participates in training activities, seminars and training for teachers, the teacher has a good personality while having extensive knowledge, wise, and can socialize well, the teacher has the ability to plan, do and carry out learning evaluations and is skilled in teaching.
