Abstract

The research aims to find. (1) The effect of leadership knowledge from the results of the Basic Leadership Training (BLT) to soft skill competence of students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta. (2) The effect of literacy competence to soft skill competencies of students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta. (3) The effect of leadership knowledge from the results of the Basic Leadership Training (BLT) and competence literacy to soft skill competence of students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta. The type of this research is quantitative using the design correlational survey. The sample of this research is students ten class of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta in the 2018/2019 school year, total off 277 wwre taken 155 students as sampling. The technique of collecting data from this research using questionnaire and documentation, The technique of analyzing data uses multiple regression analysis t-test, F-test, coefficient of determination (R2), relative contribution (SR) and effective contribution (SR). Based on the result of data analysis multiple regression equation shows Y=31,039+0,347X_1+0,557X_2. The equation shows that the soft skill competence is caused by leadership knowledge from the results of the Basic Leadership Training (BLT) and competence literacy. The results can be taken is. (1) The leadership knowledge from the results of the BLT effect on the soft skill competence, the proven with t-test value known that tcount>ttable it’s 5,303 > 1,975 and the probability value is 0,00<0,05. (2) The literacy competence effect on the soft skill competence, the proven with t-test value known that tcount>ttable it’s 5,962 > 1,975 and the probability value is 0,00<0,05. (3) The leadership knowledge from the results of the BLT and competence literacy effect on soft skill competence, the proven with test-F value known that Fcount>Ftable it’s 86,818>3,06 and the probability value is 0,00<0,05. (4) Variable of leadership knowledge from the results of the BLT give SR of 41% and give SE of 21,85%. Variable literacy competence give SR of 59% give SE of 31,44%. The R2 equal to 0,533 or equal 53,3%, while 46,7% others is effected by other variables.
