Abstract

Kun Ajeng Prabandari / A510150202. ANALYSIS OF THE CAUSES OF THE LEARNING DIFFICULTY FACTORS IN MATHEMATICS IN CLASS GRADE GENENGADAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 4. Essay. Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Muhammadiyah University Surakarta. This study aims to describe (1) students' perceptions of learning difficulties faced by students in grade mathematics subjects at Genengadal Elementary School 4, (2) factors that cause learning difficulties in fourth grade mathematics in Genengadal Elementary School 4, (3 ) solutions to overcome learning difficulties in mathematics learning. This type of research is qualitative research. The location of the study is in SD Negeri 4 Genengadal. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observations, and documents. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show (1) mathematics learning difficulties experienced by students due to students' negative perceptions of mathematics learning, (2) factors causing mathematics learning difficulties derived from internal factors (lack of students having intelligence, learning motivation, and body health) and external factors ( the use of instructional media and family situations), (3) solutions that can be used to reduce mathematics learning difficulties include changing students' negative perceptions of mathematics learning to be positive, using learning media, increasing practice questions and establishing cooperation with parents.
