Abstract
The purpose of PTK was to improve teacher professionalism. A good teacher will fulfil the teaching ability, so that student absorption and student learning outcomes so high. This study uses classroom action research (PTK). This classroom action research has four stages in the implementation of its activities are planning, action, observation, reflection. Data analysis technique using analysis comparison criteria between cycles. The results showed the application of learning through group learning can improve learning achievement of students of class X AK 3 SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta basic banking material. This is evidenced by the average of beginning the study of students amounted to only 58.00% can be increased in the first cycle of 74.00%, which means from the pre cycle to cycle I have an increase of 16.00% and the percentage of the second cycle learning outcomes learners reached 85.71%, which means an increase of 11.71% from cycle I. Score this second cycle has already reached the target of investigators which amounted to 85%. Therefore, the study was discontinued until the second cycle.
