Abstract
Delays made by students can be found in a background that is multidimensional in nature, which includes many components including the most significant component is a factor related to time, such as errors in time management and difficulty predicting time accurately. Thesis procrastination is a problem that is faced during thesis writing which in its process exceeds the specified time limit. The purpose of this study is to understand and describe the procrastination of thesis completion in working students. The research method used is Qualitative Phenomenology data collected through interviews with 6 informants, selected using purposive sampling technique with a minimum criteria of students in 2015 who took a thesis and worked. In this study the data obtained from the interview method will be analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. Steps are taken by arranging according to categories and formulating conclusions so that they are easily understood. The results of the study showed that students who worked on the thesis interpreted procrastination as an activity of ignoring the thesis and lack of intentions within themselves, lazy behavior, and poor time management. From this study it can be concluded that the procrastination of students who prepare their theses and work is motivated by wanting to fill in spare time, add new insights and learn field knowledge in the world of work, and plus economic factors that are considered to reduce the burden on parents.
