Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of differences in the number of inlets on chemical composition, porosity defects, hardness and micro photographs. The raw material of this research is used aluminum or rosok from various components which are repainted. In this study, the number of channels one, two, three will be studied. Tests carried out include chemical composition test, porosity observation, brinell hardness test (ASTM E-10 standard), and micro photo test with Metallographic Microscope. The results showed that the chemical composition was found to be chemical elements (Al) 82.58%, (Si) 8.54%. So that there are elements from this material, including aluminum alloys (Al-Si). The highest price of violence is in the number of in-gate two of 99.51 BHN, while in-gate three is 83.81 BHN, and in-gate one is 79.07 BHN, this occurs because porosity defects cause metal hardness to decrease.
