Abstract
This study aims to: (1) test the effect of Number Heads Together (NHT) and Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning strategy on mathematics learning outcomes, (2) test the effect of the level of student activity on mathematics learning outcomes, (3) test the interaction between the application of the strategy and the activity of students on mathematics learning outcomes. This study is a kind of experiment. The population is around the eighth grade all students domestic of MTs 06 Boyolali the academic year 2018/2019 with 324 students. Sample of this research is class VIII H as the experiment class with 36 students and class VIII F as the control class with 36 students. The sampling technique using cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques with methods of test, questionnaire, and documentation. Data were analyzed of variance of two difference cell. Research result with significance level α=5% was obtained (1) there is effect of Number Heads Together (NHT) and Teams Games Tournment (TGT) learning strategy on mathematics learning outcomes, (2) there is effect of the level of student activity on mathematics learning outcomes, (3) there is not the interaction between the application of the strategy and the activity of students on mathematics learning outcomes.
