Abstract

This study aims to describe teacher experiments in improving religious character, to describe the teacher's motivation in improving the character of nationalism, to describe the drivers that support teachers in improving religious character and nationalism in students who want to seek help, research, and case studies at Muhammadiyah Vocational School 4 Sragen. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study were the headmaster, coaches, coaches, and Hizbul Wathan extracurricular participants. The object of this research is the experiment of teachers in improving religious quality and nationalism in students through hizbul wathan extracurricular at Muhammadiyah 4 Sragen Vocational School. Data collection used in this study is by using in-depth interviews, collection, and documentation. The validity of the data is done by means of data source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis is done by applying an interactive analysis model. The results of this study can be concluded that: 1) the teacher's experiments in improving religious character through hizbul wathan extracurricular activities at Muhammadiyah 4 Sragen Vocational School were prayers on time, fix greetings, read al-quran, and memorized short letters; 2) strive for teachers to improve the character of nationalism, namely being faithful and obedient to the state, willing to sacrifice and work hard for the sake of the country, be proud of the country, and love the country; 3) The obstacles faced by teachers in improving religious character and nationalism through hizbul wathan's extracurricular activities are that there are still students who are lazy, asking for accountability in memorizing short letters, there are still students who do not enter in the big day ceremony.
