Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) Markers of grammatical cohesion contained in the April 2019 edition of the Kompas daily editorial. (2) The lexical cohesion markers are found in the Kompas editorial discourse on the daily edition of Kompas April 2019. (3).How to implement the results of the research analysis editorial discorse as teaching materials in Indonesian in high school. Technique of collecting data on marking reading techniques and extending techniques, while the methods of data analysis using the method of reading and marking methods. The results of this study are (1) 53 data have been found showing cohesive discourse in the editorial of the plan, which is a cohesion marker the grammatical found consists of conjunctions (14), referencing (11) release (9), and substitution (4). (2) Use of the highest lexical cohesion marker, i.e. (9) antonyms (4), synonyms (1), hyponyms (1), equivalents (1), and collocations (0). Conclusions are found that are markers of grammatical cohesion. the most. The results of the analysis of research as teaching materials for learning Indonesian in high school class XII.
