Abstract

The purpose of this study are: (1) To describe the needs of teachers who have not been fulfilled in increasing the effectiveness of the implementation of class V thematic learning in 01 Kebak Public Elementary School (2) To identify constraints faced by teacher needs in increasing the effectiveness of the implementation of class V thematic learning in Public Elementary 01 Kebak (3) To describe the solution used by the teacher's needs to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of class V thematic learning at 01 Kebak Elementary School. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive design. By using data collection is through observation,interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data in this study uses source triangulation, by directly interviewing and triangulating the method, by checking in the form of data collection techniques and data sources using the same method. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Teacher needs that have not been fulfilled to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of class V thematic learning, namely the assessment system that is too complicated. (2) The constraints of teacher needs in increasing the effectiveness of the implementation of thematic learning in class V include teachers, development of material, limited time and assessment systems. (3) Solutions used to overcome these obstacles include taking the Wiyata Bhakti / WB teacher, adding material, structured additional hours and making the scoring system as simple as possible.
