Abstract
Science learning by conducting practical activities can help students better understand in depth the science theory that has been given and is expected to be able to improve student learning outcomes. The practice carried out by students is one of them by utilizing laboratory infrastructure as a learning resource container for students. The use of a good laboratory will help the process of learning science so that it can run optimally and competence is achieved and can improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between laboratory use of science learning outcomes of class VIII students at Colomadu Middle School 2 in academic year 2018/2019. This research is a type of quantitative research with survey methods and correlation. Test data analysis using normality test, linearity test and correlation test. The results of the study showed that the correlation test results obtained the Sig. 0.131> 0.05 and for the coefficient value of 0.194. This can be concluded that there is no relationship or correlation between the use of laboratories and student learning outcomes. The level of strength of the relationship between laboratory use and student science learning outcomes was very weak in terms of the value of the correlation coefficient which was of low value.
