Abstract

Background : Basically, the purpose of doing stimulation at the baby on 0 to 3 months old is pressing their power of muscle becausr the primitive reflex. The primitive reflex is the reflex gestures which is showed on baby since he was born, and it will be carried away to the certain age. As the example, ATNR reflex and STNR reflex. ATNR Reflex was stimulated when the baby’s head move arrovnd and fold their arms across the chest so that the opposite side of the arm will stretch. Here, this ATNR Reflex can aid the baby lying flat on their stomach and also crawl on thir hands and knees. The baby will do this gestures perfectly at the time of the ATNR and STNR Reflex fusing to normal gesture. These all gestures can be assisted by giving stimulation from an early age which can be by physiotherapy. Purpose : Knowing the relationship betwen ATNR and STNR reflex and crawling ability Research Method : The quantitative research which is doing by experimental method. Here, I take a purposive simple sampling on 52 people as the sampling technique. Meanwhile, I use reflex form as the reflex measurement and gross motor function measure (GMFM) as a measurement of crawling motor development. Result of the research : I can find p valve at 0,0004 as the result of chi square statistic test. So, there is a relationship betwen ATNR reflex and crawling ability. I also find p valve at 0,000, so there is a relationship betwen STNR reflex and crawling ability here. Conclusion : There is a relationship betwen ATNR and STNR reflex and crawling ability.
