Abstract
Abstract Aggression behavior is one of the social phenomena that often occurs among adolescents. The high level of aggression carried out by adolescents is very disturbing for individuals, schools and the surrounding community. Research conducted by NGO Plan International and the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) in 2015 saw 84% of children in Indonesia experience violence in schools. The researcher gave an alternative to managing aggression behavior using SEFT. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of SEFT (Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique) in reducing aggression behavior in adolescents. The research subjects are students junior high school Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta who had high and moderate aggression behavior. This study uses a pretest-posttest control group design model that divides subjects into two groups, namely experiment and control. Two groups were given pretest, posttest and follow-up using the scale of aggression behavior. The results of this study were that the experimental group given SEFT training experienced a significant decrease in aggression behavior, compared with the control group who did not receive SEFT training. The results of qualitative analysis showed that the decrease in aggression behavior due to the subject still practicing SEFT, and the SEFT method as a whole, namely 3P (Persanal Peace Proscedure), emotional modification, and Deep SEFT.
