Abstract

This study aims: 1. To describe the teaching skills of Accounting Economics teachers in improving the learning achievement of class XI students in Accounting Economics at Boyolali 1 Public High School. 2. To describe the actions of the Accounting Economics teacher in improving the learning achievement of class XI students in Accounting Economics at Boyolali 1 Public High School. This type of research is qualitative research. The research design used was an ethnographic approach. The technique of collecting data uses interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The validity of the data is done by source triangulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive models with data reduction steps, data presentation, and data verification / conclusion drawing. The results showed that, (1) the teaching skills of accounting economics teachers applied at SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali included the skills of explaining, skills of giving reinforcement, skills of variation, questioning skills, and classroom management skills. (2) the actions of accounting economics teachers in improving the learning achievement of class XI students in accounting economics at Boyolali 1 Public High School include giving motivation, contextual learning, class situations and conditions, training in improving skills, approaches for students who experience difficulties, and giving appreciation to teachers and students who excel.
