Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between work life balance with burnout and whether there is a relationship between social support with burnout. The hypothesis proposed are: 1) there is a negative relationship between work life balance and burnout, 2) there is a negative relationship between social support and burnout. The population in this study were employees in Textile and Textile Products Industry (TTP) and the subjects in this study were employees from sewing of garment division at PT. Dan Liris which amounted to 102 employees. The sampling technique used was non random sampling with a quota sampling procedure. The data collection tool in this study uses a scale of work life balance, social support scale, and burnout scale. The data analysis technique used is non-parametric correlation spearman's rho to determine the relationship between each independent variable, work life balance and social support, with dependent variables, burnout.. The results of data analysis obtained from this study are: 1) there is a very significant negative relationship between work life balance and burnout with the value rxy = -816 with sig. (1-tailed) = 0,000 (p ≤ 0,01), 2) there is a very significant negative relationship between social support and burnout with the value rxy = -632 with sig. (1-tailed) = 0,000 (p ≤ 0.01). The coefficient of determination analysis (r²) shows that work life balance has an effect of 66.6% on burnout. The coefficient of determination analysis (r²) shows that social support has an effect of 39.9% on burnout. Overall work life balance of garment division employees is high. Overall social support of garment division employees is high. Overall burnout of garment division employees is low.
