Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the intrinsic value of work, income / salary, and labor market considerations on the interest of accounting students to pursue a career as a Public Accountant. This study is a type of survey research that uses primary data from questionnaires. The population in this study were all students of the Accounting Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta in 2015 academic year which amounted to 376 people. So the number of samples taken was 77 students. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Methods of collecting data using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using validity, reliability, and logistic regression analysis.
