Abstract
This research aims to describe the development of school teacher literacy through “pundok literacy” at Muhammadiyah High School Toboali, South Bangka Regency. This research is a qualitative research that using an ethnographic approach. Data collection methods used in this research is an interview, observation, and documentation. Fostering school teacher literacy is one strategy in increasing students low literacy interests. In this millennial era the School Literacy Movement needs to be designed with a strategic and comfortable environment, one of which is through “Pundok literacy”. The results showed that School Teacher Literacy Development through "Pundok Literasi" had programs that included the community of book lovers, word gathering, literacy seminars, and journalistic facebook. Each program has literacy competitions, articles and opinions, libraries in car free days, assessment of papers, school magazines, book reviews, the existence of journalists MoU, media literacy, GLS-GLB socialization, literacy certificates, school news coverage, and school promotion media. Pundok literacy is a strategic place to exchange opinions and learn about literacy.
