Abstract
Excessive physical stress is one of the factors that contributes to making the worse disease because it can cause an increase in heart rate, increase in blood pressure, and release of stress hormones which will result in increased workload of the heart which can lead to heart attack, sudden cardiac death, heart failure, or arrhythmia. This study uses a quantitative design with descriptive approach to describe the physical stress of heart failure patients in Dr.Moewardi Hospital Surakarta. Respondents in this study amounted to 60 people obtained by sampling with purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was the Stress Indicator Questionnaire (NBANH) questionnaire which was analyzed by univariate analysis and the results showed that the results of the study showed that inpatients in Dr.Moewardi Hospital Surakarta experienced physical stress in the category of moderate category 34 (56.7 %) due to excessive physical activity and fatigue, physical stress if not overcome can cause other health problems such as arrhythmias, increased heart rate, pain, fatigue, increased blood pressure to complications.
