Abstract

The aim to be achieved by holding this research is to determine the effect of compensation and social security on employee work performance in the Tasikmadu Karanganyar District Office and find out which variable (compensation or social security variable) has a dominant influence on employee work performance in the Tasikmadu Karanganyar District Office . The results of this research are expected to provide information or an overview of how the District Office's compensation and social security systems have had an effect on employee work performance, as well as providing input to develop and manage compensation and social security in the office, so that employees are satisfied with what is given. This research is a quantitative, systematic, well-planned and structured study from the beginning to the design of the study. The population in this study was Tasikmadu sub-district office while for the sample in this study were 35 employees of Tasikmadu District Office. Based on the results of the study, compensation variables have a significant influence on employee work performance. Social security variables have a significant influence on work performance. Based on the results of the F test analysis it is known that Fcount> Ftable (42,214> 4,08), this means that together or simultaneously the variables of compensation and collateral affect the work performance of employees. The results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained by adjusted R square (R2) obtained at 0.708, means that variations in changes in work performance variables can be explained by variables compensation and collateral have a positive effect on job performance by 70.8%. While the remaining 20.2% is explained by other variables outside the model
