Abstract

Long distance marriage causes stress, conflict, and negative perceptions because of the unpleasant experiences faced by the wife, which results in a decrease in the level of marital satisfaction. This study aims to determine the effect of narimo ing pandum intervention (NIP) on increasing marital satisfaction in wives who undergo long-distance marriage (LDM). The research subjects were wives who underwent long-distance marriage and had moderate and low marriages satisfaction levels, totaling 19 people. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a pre-post control group design. The measuring instrument used is the marriage satisfaction scale from Hamdun (2014) with reliability α = 0.921. This scale is compiled based on 6 aspects proposed by Jane (1999). This intervention was conducted 2 meetings for 1 week. At the first meeting 330 minutes and the second meeting 60 minutes. Analysis using mann-whitney u using SPSS 16. The hypothesis test results are that narimo ing pandum interventions (NIP) affect the increase in marital satisfaction in wives undergoing long-distance marriage (LDM). NIP interventions increase marital satisfaction by lowering the ideal of self that is more in line with the real self experienced with an attitude of gratitude, patience, and acceptance.
