Abstract
This study describes need for love and belongingness of the major character on his live. The objective of the research is to analyze the major character based on its structural elements and psychological perspective. In analyzing the psychological aspects, the researcher applies the theory of Humanistic psychology proposed by Abraham Maslow. This research belongs to qualitative method. In this method the researcher uses two data sources, namely primary and secondary data source. The primary data is movie Memoirs of a Geisha directed by Rob Marshall. The secondary data sources are the books about psychology and the other source which related to the analysis. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, the structural elements the movie presents a unity. It appears in beginning, middle and the end of the story. Secondary, it describes how love and belonging need reflect on the major characters personalities. Finally, the psychological analysis shows that people will do everything to achieve their goal.
