Abstract

The registration mechanism of catering service needs administrative and technical requirements. Several Government efforts are made to optimize the registration methods in order to be more effective and reduce the obstacle factors in the implementation of licensing. If the licensing is carried out carefully, it will be potently avoid the bad impacts which will be occurred. Therefore this research is conducted to know the licensing mechanism of the catering service business and the obstacles in the implementation of licensing of it in Surakarta and its update in social life.The research which applied is descriptive and it uses empirical juridical approach. Data is gotten by the research for the mechanism of the catering service business and factors which are be obstacles in the implementation of licensing of it and its update in social life in Surakarta, it also usesthe methods of collecting data, there aredocumentation and field study. The technique of data collection in this study is qualitative data analysis. The result of the study shows that the licensing of catering service business is owned by personal in Surakarta has been carried out appropriate with the certainty procedure of Regulation No. 10 of 2009 on Tourism and Regulation No. 36 of 2009 on Health and Its Implementation Roles.
