Abstract
Abstract Attractive tourism potential to be developed and become a local government agenda, namely culinary tourism, this type of tourism has potential and can be used as an attraction and support for other tourism in the city of Surakarta. This study aims to analyze the distribution patterns of famous culinary tourism in the city and analyze the characteristics of tourists and the role of culinary tourism as a tourist attraction in the city of Surakarta. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with a survey approach, where the data used is primary data and secondary data. The sampling technique used is non probability sampling, with a type of purposive sampling. Determination of the number of samples is based on the highest rating of tourists visiting, so the number of respondents who made the sample in this study was taken 4 respondents, namely 1 seller and 3 buyers, interviews with 3 buyers were conducted to avoid subjectivity in the study. While secondary data is in the form of a reference to the research location (sample point) obtained from the data collection. Analysis of the data used is based on the research objectives. To achieve the first goal, the data analysis used is quantitative analysis through the calculation of the nearest neighbor. Whereas to achieve the second goal, qualitative analysis is obtained from the results of interviews that have been processed. Here is obtained (for example) how attractive the culinary location is. The results of data analysis show that: 1) the distribution pattern of culinary tourism distribution in Surakarta City is a cluster that is clustered, these culinary tourism locations are clustered around the Surakarta court which is spread out in each district, and is close to the economic center, cultural tourism center. and also the center. 2) the characteristic variable and culinary tourist attraction in Surakarta City have an influence as a tourism developer which can be used as an attraction, the influence of technological development, ease of accessibility, and the type of diversity of Surakarta specialties are taken into consideration in culinary tourism efforts. In terms of the level of interest in culinary tourism in Surakarta City, tourists think that culinary tourism in Surakarta City is quite interesting.
