Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning activity of students of class X IPS 1 Pracimantoro 1 Public High School, especially on economic subjects through the make a match learning method. This type of research is classroom action research carried out for two cycles. The subject of the study was collaboration between teachers and researchers, and students of class X IPS 1 Pracimantoro 1 Senior High School, amounting to 31 students. Data collection techniques used in this study include observations, interviews, and field notes or other documents. To guarantee the validity of data, triangulation of data (source and time) is used. The data analysis technique uses comparative analysis techniques. The results showed an increase from pre-cycle or before the action that is equal to 32.90% to 41.94% in the first cycle of the first meeting, to 50.97% in the first cycle of the second meeting, to 64.52% in the second cycle of the meeting to III, and become 78.06% in the second cycle of meeting to IV. Based on the observation guidelines the results of observations made by the teacher in the first cycle are in accordance with the observation guidelines but the results are not maximal, whereas in the second cycle the overall learning process goes according to the observation guidelines and gets optimal results. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the Make A Match learning method is able to increase the learning activeness of X IPS 1 students at Pracimantoro 1 Public High School.
