Abstract

For the sake of advancing mobile technology and increasing affordability and capabilities, mobile platforms especially Android have changed from communication tools to tools for socialization, entertainment and learning. This study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the development of android-based learning media history of Walisongo class X history subjects. The research method used is the Research and Develompment (R & D) method using the Waterfall development model. Data collection techniques used in the form of tests and non-tests. The analysis techniques used are feasibility, initial and final data analysis. Android-based learning media development history of Walisongo class X history subjects through the stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. the results of the assessment by media experts fall into the fairly decent category with an overall average of 60.42% and the assessment by material experts is in the very feasible category with an overall average of 89.73%. Based on the results of the t test obtained sig (2-tailed) of 0.00, if sig <0.05 then H0 is not accepted and Ha is accepted, which means there are differences in learning outcomes from students before and after using the media. Based on the results of the research on the development of android-based learning media, the history of Walisongo, a history subject, is declared feasible to be used to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes.
