Abstract
ABSTRACT THE APPLICATION OF THE TSAQIFA METHOD IN THE QUR'AN READING LEARNING IN SMK MUHAMMADIYAH KAJEN PEKALONGAN ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018 By : Hamim Latifah SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen has a compulsory Al-Qur'an learning program that is realized in the form of BTA extracurricular activities. All class X students who could not read the Qur'an are compulsory to join the programs so that they can read the Qur'an correctly. Students who could not read the Qur'an because they have difficulty in learning to read the Qur'an, besides non-academic activities at SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen which are quite busy, the right method is needed to learn BTA. In this case SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen used the Tsaqifa method for BTA learning. Based on this background, the purpose of this study was to find out how the applying method of Tsaqifa in learning Al-Qur'an program at SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen and to identified the advantages of Tsaqifa Method. This research is a field research, which is a research activity carried out in a particular school environment by visiting the intended direct object. The method used in this study is the interview method, and documentation. While the method of data analysis is done in a descriptive way, namely disclosure of circumstances. From the results of the study it can be concluded that for approximately one semester there was an increase in the quality of Al-Qur'an reading from students. Students who could not read the Qur'an, even could not understand the hijaiyah letter are quite capable to read Qur'an even though the level is still reading. They have motivation to learn Qur’an. The advantages of the Tsaqifa method in BTA learning are the method is used for people who have a high degree of busyness, many methods are needed to use this program and a relatively fast time to understand the material.
