Abstract

This purpose of this research paper are: 1) To describe what factors are the background of doing regrouping school in SDN Mijen. 2) To describe how the national final exam achievementin SDN Mijen 1 and SDN Mijen 2 before the school regrouping done. 3) To describe how the national final exam achievement at SDN Mijen after done Regrouping school. 4) To describe how the impact of school regrouping on the national final exam achievementat SDN Mijen Surakarta. This research type is qualitative research with description description design. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis of researchers using qualitative descriptive by reducing the data and than presents the data in the form of brief description and concluded flexible to answer the formulation of exiting problems. The validity of this research data is using extension of observation, using reference material and triangulation technique. The results showed that the regrouping or merging of SDN Mijen 1 and Mijen 2 became SDN Mijen. The background of school regrouping is the effectiveness and efficiency of improving the quality of education in terms of teachers, infrastructure, and buildings for elementary schools that are regrouped. Regrouping conducted at SDN Mijen did not have a significant impact exam achievement.
