Abstract
This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of social attitudes assessment in children with special needs, (2) describe the obstacles in the development of Social Attitude Assessment in children with special needs, and (3) identify alternative solutions to overcome obstacles in Social Attitude Assessment in children with needs specifically in Jepon State SLB, Blora Regency. This research was conducted in 2018/2019 school year. The process of collecting data uses direct observation, interviews with teaching teachers, and documentation of the activities carried out. Test the validity of the data using triangulation, namely checking data from various sources in various ways and times. Analysis of the data used is an interactive model, namely data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study: 1) The implementation of social attitudes assessment in children with special needs is carried out by classroom teachers by conducting direct, routine and consistent observations using the observation sheet. Class teachers identify things related to social attitudes according to each indicator, namely honesty, discipline, responsibility, tolerance and mutual cooperation. The results of the assessment according to the competence of the class teacher using assessment techniques include: a) Test. b) Observation, c) Oral tests, d) Portfolio Assessment, e) Journal. f) Inventory, g) Self-assessment, and h) Assessment between friends. 2) Constraints in Social Attitude Assessment in children with special needs, namely limited human resources that routinely provide education services for children with special needs, and 3) Alternative solutions to overcome obstacles in Social Attitude Assessment in children with special needs, namely training teachers in doing assessing social attitudes in children with special needs.
