Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation, implementation constraints and solutions to constraints in the implementation of the character of honesty and responsibility in the honesty canteen for members of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta for the 2017/2018 period. This study uses a qualitative approach, data collection by interview, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques use interactive models through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study on the implementation of the character of honesty and responsibility in the honesty canteen for members of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Muhammadiyah Surakarta in the 2017/2018 period, include: 1) not lying (for what it is), 2) following rules apply, for example, paying on time, 3) not cheating, for example taking change in accordance with the items taken, 4) doing their duties, for example shopping when the honesty canteen runs out, 5) keeping promises, such as paying on time with promises already pronounced, 6) acknowledging his actions, for example when being reprimanded for forgetting to pay, 7) the ability to be trusted, for example when given the trust to manage a canteen should be done as well as possible. Constraints faced include internal factors, namely the lack of awareness of the importance of being honest and responsibility for yourself and others. The solution to the constraints included conducting Islamic studies, making special books for buyers who had not yet paid, sticking aphorisms pamphlets, giving price tags to items in the honesty canteen, and attaching a rule leaflet agreed to by the canteen manager.
