Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out (1) the influence of problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning learning strategies to the learning outcomes, (2) the influence of students' activity on student learning outcomes, (3) The interaction between Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning strategy student activeness to student learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research with quasi experimental design. Sampling technique by Cluster Random sampling. The population in the study were all students of class VII MTs Negeri Gondangrejo. The sample of research consisted of two classes namely students of class VII F and VII G. Technique of collecting data is done by method of test, questionnaire, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses two way analysis of variance with unequal cell which previously conducted normality test using Liliefors method and homogeneity test using Barlett method. Results of research with α = 5%. (1) there is influence of learning strategy of Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning to result of learning, (2) there is no influence of student activeness toward result of learning at low and low student activity, (3) no influence between Problem Based Learning, Discovery Learning and student activeness of learning outcomes.
