Abstract

Nutrition is not a health problem caused by a direct cause of nutritional intake of food and infectious diseases. This problem can be solved by improving mother's behavior in Infant and Child Feeding (PMBA). PMBA includes Initiation of Early Breastfeeding (IMD), Exclusive Breastmilk, MP-Breastfeeding, Breast feeding until the age of 2 years. Based on the results of the Kemusu Village survey is the village with the highest prevalence of malnutrition in Kemusu sub-district is 13.07%. This study aims to determine the effect of counseling with booklet media on knowledge and attitude of mother baduta about Feeding Infants and Children 2 (PMBA) in Kemusu Village, Kemusu Sub-district, Boyolali District. Quantitative research method of experimental quasi type with one group pretest posttest design research design. The sample of the study amounted to 47 mothers baduta. The inclusion criteria in this research are baduta mother who came to posyandu, able to communicate well, can write and read, minimum education elementary school (SD), and willing to become respondent. Data processing on knowledge variable using Wilcoxon Sign test and attitude variable using Paired Samples T Test. Good knowledge result before given counseling equal to 74,5%. After counseling was 87.2%. Positive mother attitude before giving counseling 61.7%. After being given counseling positive baduta mother attitude of 76.6%. Different test results on the variables of knowledge there is influence (p = 0.000). Attitude variable has influence (p = 0,000). There is an influence of counseling with booklet media to knowledge and attitude of baduta mother about Feeding Infant and Child (PMBA) in Kemusu Village, Kemusu Sub-district, Boyolali District.
