Abstract

Marital satisfaction is a subjective evaluation conducted by married couples about their marriage. This study aims to determine the dynamics of the marital satisfaction in a couple commuter marriage and factors that affect the marital satisfaction. Subjects in this study amounted to 4 couples of commuter marriage. Data collection using semi structured interviews. Data analysis techniques using interactive analysis techniques. Based on the results of the analysis can be concluded psychological dynamics that a husband and wife who undergo commuter marriage for several reasons, namely the demands of work, economic factors, and family. With the existence of this cause the husband and wife choose to undergo a commuter marriage which can later influence communication,. Openness between partners, togetherness, mutual support, mutual understanding, role sharing, childcare, family support, and psychological well-being of each partner.
