Abstract

This research aims to find out and describe: 1) what types of sexual violence occur in elementary school age children in Surakarta, 2) what are the factors that cause sexual violence against children in Surakarta, 3) to what extent PTPAS has a role in preventing sexual violence in Surakarta city elementary schools, 4) programs that given by PTPAS in an effort to prevent sexual violence in Surakarta, 5) any obstacles faced by PTPAS in the context of efforts to prevent sexual violence against children in the city of Surakarta. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. The data needed is qualitative data. Sources of data obtained from interviews and documentation. Check the validity of the data using source triangulation techniques and technique triangulation. The data analysis technique uses interactive analysis. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded 1) the types of sexual violence that occur in the majority are sexual abuse as many as 12 cases, rape as many as 6 cases, 2) factors causing sexual violence against children which are primarily psychiatric factors experiencing impaired and low moral, 3) PTPAS's role is to make efforts to prevent, handle and assist when victims experience cases of sexual violence, especially against children until cases are brought to court, 4) prevention efforts carried out by PTPAS are by the existence of socialization in the form of posters, billboards, and giving socialization that Surakarta city is Child Friendly City, 5) The main obstacle faced is communication. Even though it is difficult for her to provide ways to prevent children, it is still difficult because if the perpetrator does a method that the child has never known, the child will find it difficult to know.
