Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) the influence of student intelligence on learning activity; 2) Effect of teaching methods on teachers on learning activity; 3) Influence of student intelligence and teaching methods for teachers on learning activity. This research includes associative quantitative research. The population of this research is class XI.IPS Pecangaan 1 State High School 2018/2019 school year which amounted to 138 students consisting of 4 classes. Samples were taken as many as 100 students with Proportional Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques use documentation and questionnaire techniques. Previous questionnaires were tested and tested for validity and reliability testing. Based on the validity test, it is known that all items of intelligence from student intelligence, teacher teaching methods, and valid learning activities. This is evidenced because the value of r count> r table of significance> 0.05 and all items of teacher role variables, organizational activeness and soft skill abilities are reliable because they have r count> r table with r table 0.444. Data analysis techniques used are multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test, R2 test, relative contribution and effective contribution. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained regression line equation Y = 15,761 + 0,666X1 + 0,803X2, based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis it can be concluded that: 1) student intelligence affects the activeness of learning with partial test results (t test) obtain t count> t table that is 8,003> 1,984 at the significance level <0,05 that is equal to 0,000 with a relative contribution of 93,7% and effective contribution of 41,9%; 2) The teacher teaching method has no effect on learning activity with the partial test results (t test) obtaining a value of t count> t table that is 1.254 <1.984 at the significance level> 0.05 which is 0.213 with a relative contribution of 6.3% and an effective contribution of 2.8 %; 3) Student intelligence and teacher teaching methods influence learning activity. These results are evident from the simultaneous test analysis (F test) which obtained the Fcount value> Ftable of 39,200> 3,09. Overall student intelligence and teacher teaching methods have an effective contribution of 44.7% to learning activity, the remaining 55.3% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
