Abstract

This study aims to describe how to manage life skills based learning in BA Aisyiyah Jombor based on learning preparation, learning implementation and evaluation of learning conducted using qualitative methods. Data obtained from the results of interviews directly with informants, environmental observations that support research and documentation studies. The results of the study show that there are 4 steps of life skills learning preparation process that must be passed to achieve the learning objectives, namely: (a) Preparing the design of life skills learning objectives, (b) Preparing students to follow the learning process. (c) Apperception with discussion and question and answer with students about the material. (d) The teacher gives an overview of the learning outcomes that will be achieved. In the process of implementing life skills based learning is carried out with four steps as follows: (a) Personal skills, this student has the goal of preparing learning to hone the basic abilities of children in taking care of themselves and the independence of students in a simple but consistent way. (b) social skills, in this year children are invited to be able to communicate and interact with friends when carrying out learning activities, (c) thinking skills, but where the teacher prepares an effective learning activity to develop children's critical thinking and always innovate in learning . (d) prevocational skills are learning activities that hone eye-hand and eye-foot coordination in order to develop perfectly, while evaluation of life skills-based learning includes the following three activities: (a) Identification of problems through synchronization of the curriculum and its implementation, (b) Through method of mentoring students in the learning process. (c) Synergy and coordination with student guardians. The management of this learning is in accordance with the curriculum and vision, mission of the school and supported by the synergy of various parties. This is so that the life skills based learning management strategy in BA Aisyiyah Jombor becomes more effective and efficient. Keywords: Management, Learning, Life skills,
