Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine economic learning outcomes between using problembased learning strategies and discovery learning. The type of this research belong to quantitative research with an experimental quasi design. The population in this research were class X IPS 3, X IPS 4, X IPS 5 at SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura 2018/2019 academic year totaling 108 students, the samples of this research were two classes totaling 72 students using simple random sampling technique. The technique of collecting data used the method of test, while the technique of analyzing data used balance test and T-Test test. The results of this study showed that there were significant differences regarding learning outcomes (Y) between using problem-based learning strategies (X1) and discovery learning (X2) as evidenced by the t-test calculation that showed t count> t table 3,128> 1,994 or the significance value 0,003 <from 0.05.
