Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain material / data about the management of extra curricular programs at SMA Negeri 1 Jogonalan to improve program management in the next school year. Research data collection techniques include: observation / observation, interview and document study. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative analysis with steps namely: data reduction, data presentation, discussion and conclusion. Planning extra curricular programs at SMA Negeri 1 Jogonalan is carried out through stages: socialization and demonstration of skills, inventory of participants and determination of types of extra-curricular activities based on selected questionnaires, determination of teacher builders / trainers, scheduling, support of facilities and infrastructure and funds, and preparation of activity programs . Extra curricular activities are carried out routinely in accordance with the schedule that has been prepared. The mentor teacher positions himself as an organizer, motivator and conservator. The role of transformers and transmitters is mostly taken by teacher trainers. Student and parent participation in extra curricular activities is very high, which is about 71%. This form of assessment is a qualitative assessment complemented by a narrative of skills competencies, attitudes and student achievement records. Student involvement in extracurricular increases self-confidence, discipline, and courage to speak. Independence and maturity that can change their way of thinking if they face problems in their lives.
