Abstract
EFFECTIVENESS OF WHITE CAMBODIA EXTRACT AND ROSEMARY LEAF EXTRACT AS VEGETABLE MOSQUITO REPELLENT IN ELECTRIC FORM WITH VARIATION OF LONG SUBMERSION Abstract Alternative eradication of A. aegypti mosquitoes can be done by utilizing white frangipani flower extract and rosemary leaf extract as vegetable mosquito repellent. White frangipani flowers extract and rosemary leaf extract are toxic to mosquitoes. This study aim to determine the effectiveness of vegetable electric mosquito repellent containing white frangipani flower extract and rosemary leaf extract on mosquito mortality on A. aegypti. The research method uses an experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD) of two factors. The first factor is material comparison (B_1= 75% white frangipani flower extract: 25% rosemary leaf extract, B_2= 50% white frangipani flower extract: 50% rosemary leaf extract, and B_3= 25% white frangipani flower extract: 75% rosemary leaf extract); The second factor was the submersion time of the electric mat in the extract (R_1= 10 minutes, R_2= 20 minutes, and R_3= 30 minutes) with three replications. Data were analyzed using the parametric test Two Way Anova followed by the Test Least Significant Differences (LSD). Vegetable mosquito repellent frangipani flower extract and rosemary leaf extract in the treatment has the highest anti-mosquito effectiveness with an average percentage of mortality of 86.67%. The conclusion of this research is white frangipani flower extract and rosemary leaf extract have activity as mosquito repellent.
