Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence with prosocial behavior in Supeltas Surakarta. Hypothesis proposed that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence with prosocial behavior on Suepltas Surakarta. The sampling technique used in this study is population study. Methods of data collection using quantitative approach with measuring the scale of emotional intelligence and the scale of prosocial behavior. While the data analysis is done by product moment using SPSS for 16 windows help program. Based on the results of data analysis obtained correlation coefficient (r) of 0.53; significance (p) of 0.00 (p <0.01) which means there is a very significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence with prosocial behavior in Supeltas Surakarta. Effective contribution or the role of emotional intelligence with prosocial behavior of 28%, the remaining 72% influenced by other factors. Emotional intelligence variable has empirical mean (RE) equal to 120,15 so have high category, whereas behavioral prosocial variable has empirik mean (RE) equal to 98 which have high category.
