Abstract
The objective of this research is to find out : 1). the relation between self confidence and interest buying branded at student, 2). the level of self confidence3).the level of interest buying branded, 4).effective contribution of self confidence with the interest of buying branded to the students. The hypothesis of this research shows that there is a relation negative between self confidence and interest buying branded. Based of criteria a number of subjects of this research is 80 active students 2016. Instrument used scale of self confidence and buying branded. The technique for analysis of this research is product moment.There is no relationship between self confidence and buying branded in students at Psychology UMS. The lower the self confidence the lower the buying interest, the higher the self confidence the higher the buying interest.The results of data analysis shows that the correlation coefisien is (r) = 0,104 with sig 0,094 (p<0,05). The level of confidence of the subject is medium. Buying interest in the subject is medium. This is shown by the empirical rate of 44.34 while the hypothetical average is 45. Effective contribution (SE) interest in buying is 10.4%. This shows there are still 89.6% other variables that may affect confidence beyond the buying interest variable.
