Abstract

SMEs Batik Oguud stands for quite a long time of about 10 years, but in the course of work system on SMEs is not so good. In the process of tasting the workers look uncomfortable because the temperature is quite hot, and also the burning smoke of candles that meet the work area so that workers wear only t-shirts. Storage of raw materials and finished materials are also still very lacking, so impressed not tidy and make raw materials become dirty. So that needed repair work system at SME Batik Oguud. This research uses Participatory Ergonomic approach, which in this approach involves the worker in doing repair work system. This research also applies WISH (Work Improvement for Safe Home) action checklist program in which there are 5 aspects of improvement evaluation with 30 questions. The result of WISH questionnaire processing shows that the priority improvement aspect is the Security Engine aspect, from which the value obtained is 0.64, and the lowest aspect is the storage and handling aspects of the material with the value 0.18. Based on the ergonomic participatory that has been done, there are several improvements that include 1) the provision of raw material storage rack, 2) structuring of electrical cabling, 3) routine engine maintenance, 4) the supply of containers and storage for tools and chemicals, 5) the provision of personal protective equipment, 6) the provision of clean toilets and available laundry soap, and 7) the provision of first aid boxes and equipment.
