Abstract

The elderly is the final stage of a life which is the last stage leading to death. Death is a reality that can not be rejected and its arrival can not be avoided because death is a destiny that has been determined by Allah. But the uncertainty of when death comes to make the elderly feel anxious to face the event called death instantly at any time death can come to him. Factors that affect anxiety facing one of life death is the satisfaction of life because the elderly who have satisfaction with his life will consider the death is a natural thing and must be faced. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between life satisfaction with anxiety to face death in the elderly. Samples taken by 50 elderly with snow-ball sampling technique. Measuring tool used in the research is life satisfaction scale and anxiety scale facing death. Data analysis technique using product moment correlation technique from Pearson. Based on the result of calculation of product moment analysis technique from Pearson obtained correlation coefficient value (r) equal to -0,500 with significance value (p) = 0,000 (p <0,01) meaning there is negative relation on both variable which is significant.
